• Complete re-building required upgrading the foundations to Code
• Neighbor's brick footing needed underpinning causing substantial expense and delay
• Introducing helical piers allowed new grade beams to be higher than the neighbor’s footing saving cost time
• Lateral support afforded with opposite retaining wall passive resistance, no tie-backs used
• Selected pull testing was conducted to ensure pier capacities
